Give your ticket buyers a smoother checkout experience with our brand new cart widget.

This handy little icon can be embedded on your website, giving customers easy access to their cart while they browse. No more lost tickets or back-and-forth.

Getting started is simple:

  1. Make sure multi-checkout is enabled.
  2. Head to ‘Promote’ > ‘Website embed code’.
  3. Scroll down to 'Cart widget', and customise your widget by clicking ‘Edit widget colors’.
  4. Copy and paste the embed code into your site (ideally in the header so it appears on every page).

It works neatly alongside your event listing widget too, keeping things clean and clutter-free.

Get started here, or check out our help article for more info.

P.S. For the full experience, including the real-time item count badge and a seamless on-page overlay - we recommend using a custom domain.

Refund Protection now available in the USA (and for even more UK events) 🇺🇸 🇬🇧

Refund Protection is now available for even more events!

USA and UK companies, charities and not-for-profits can now all opt-in to ticket protection, a feature that was previously only available to UK VAT-registered companies.

1. Reduce admin: Refunds and payouts are all handled directly by our protection partner, XCover. Zero stress.

2. De-risk purchases: Increase checkout conversion by giving peace of mind to your ticket buyers. Bliss.

3. Earn revenue: You’ll make commission on every Refund Protection purchase added. That's easy-peasy profit!

How does it work?

✅ Your ticket buyers can choose to add protection at checkout. The cost is paid to you upfront, alongside their ticket purchase.

💰 You’ll then be billed for a portion of that protection as part of your ticket fees, and you keep the remaining percentage. Simple.

🧘 If a buyer can no longer attend and their claim qualifies, they contact XCover directly. XCover handles the refund and all the admin, so you don’t have to lift a finger.

Now, the total cost your buyer pays, for tickets in GBP, (including booking fees) is displayed upfront on your checkout.

Membership search is now available in the Check-in App 🎉

Ashton avatar
Shared by Ashton • March 02, 2026

You can now search for issued memberships directly within the Ticket Tailor check-in app, making it much easier to verify members at the door, even if they don’t have their membership QR code to hand.

You can now:

  • Search for members by first name, last name, or email address.
  • Use filters for valid or invalid memberships, or sort by first or last name.
  • Restrict membership access for specific check-in app users with the new ‘Prevent membership search and redemption’ setting.

Great for season pass holders you need to scan at specific events, this update helps event staff quickly confirm membership status on arrival, improving door entry and operational efficiency. All you need is an internet connection ⚡

A better Stripe integration to unlock stronger fraud protection

Use more customer data in Stripe

We’ve made an important improvement to our Stripe integration.

From now on, when someone buys a ticket through your Box office using Stripe, we’ll create a proper Stripe Customer for them, giving you more control over your customers and payments, and to help you better protect your events from fraud and chargebacks.

Previously, buyer details like name and email were sent to Stripe as metadata. That meant:

  • Ticket buyers often appeared as “Guest” in your Stripe Dashboard
  • You couldn't use Stripe's leading fraud protection tool: Stripe Radar effectively
  • Extra Stripe actions, like creating one off invoices, were unavailable via Stripe

Now, each ticket buyer is created as a Stripe Customer and linked to their payment. This gives you more control and management of your ticket buyer payments in Stripe.

The benefits

If you’ve ever dealt with fraudulent orders, chargebacks, or suspicious bulk purchases, you’ll know how stressful and time-consuming it can be.

Stripe offers advanced fraud protection through Stripe Radar. But for Radar to work properly, it needs structured customer data.

With this update:

  • Stripe Radar can access customer email addresses properly
  • Known fraudulent emails are more likely to be flagged or blocked
  • You can create velocity-based rules, like blocking the same card from buying 50 tickets in an hour
  • Stripe can track behaviour across transactions to spot repeat offenders
  • Buyers will appear as real customers in Stripe, not anonymous “guests”

In short, Stripe now has the data it needs to make its existing fraud tools actually work for you.

👉 This improvement has been applied automatically to all Box offices using Stripe. If you'd like the old integration, select "Don't create customer records in Stripe" from your Stripe settings.

❓ If you’d like to explore Stripe Radar rules or tighten your fraud settings, you can do that directly in your Stripe Dashboard.
